At long last I’ve finally resolved my email problem at the website and I’d like to apologise to everyone who sent me a message and never received an answer. I’ve made a good start at going through the unanswered list of around 470 emails but although I’ve spent the best part of a day going through them it’ll take a while for me to catch up.
While I’m here I’d also like to mention an amazing event which I took part in on Tuesday the 9th of September. It was the “Animation” event at Aberdeen’s Marshall College, as part of the 50+ festival in the city. After a few rousing sets by the Cults pipe band, I gave a twenty minute set with local guitarist Alastair Macdougall, and then was ably followed by local ceilidh band Dance Macabre, and broadcaster Fiona Kennedy who also hosted the event. The highlight of the evening was however the stunning artistic performance by International percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie, who hails from Aberdeenshire and Russian artist Maria Rud who’s artistic creations were projected live onto the beautiful Marshall College who the improvised performance by Evelyn. The 600+ audience were treated to a once in a lifetime experience which was a privilege to be part of. See a short extract from the event here – http://youtu.be/Dr-iPhRqBWA
